Lucas Seiler
Founder & CEO
Lucas Seiler is the founder and managing-director of Propulsion Agency and leads the agency’s communications campaigns. He’s an award-winning journalist having served as a news anchor/reporter and producer for NBC News. He began his career writing for television stations in Chicago before transitioning to on-air reporting where his investigative news stories earned national and international attention, have been cited in legal publications like Nova Law Review, and resulted in regulatory changes in Florida at the local and statewide level. As a journalist, his reporting has been featured on programs such as NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, CNN, and BBC News. Lucas’ deep relationships within the news industry is representative of his decade-long run in journalism combined with proactively shaping successful PR campaigns for clients the last several years.
Prior to launching Propulsion and after his retirement from TV news, Lucas led the legal and professional services accounts at Schwartz Media Strategies in Miami. While at Schwartz, Lucas developed and executed successful public relations campaigns for law firms like real estate powerhouse Bilzin Sumberg, aviation and class action litigator Podhurst Orseck, celebrity affairs firm Kluger Kaplan, anti-terrorism legal team Hall, Lamb, Hall & Lamb, Leto, P.A., accounting firms like Gerson Preston, as well as provided on-the-ground public affairs support and crisis management for Fortune 500 companies like Walmart. Lucas also led media relations for The Florida Bar, an official arm of the Florida Supreme Court, working directly with former President Michelle Suskauer to media train and promote initiatives statewide.
In 2020 alone, Lucas and the Propulsion Agency team promoted the University of Miami School of Architecture’s Master of Construction Management Program; artificial intelligence company Ople.ai and its partnership with interactive data visualization software company Tableau; social impact nonprofit Lucky Forks’ rebranding to Givsly; the largest Lean Construction management company Unified Works and its work on University of Chicago Medicine’s new medical campus and Jackson Health System’s new hospital system.
Lucas has served on the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s New World Center Committee focused on combating climate change and currently runs pro bono public affairs campaigns for the League of Women Voters and HIV/AIDS charity Men of Chicago Real Estate.
Lucas earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism and Television from Columbia College Chicago. He’s an avid runner, yogi and vegan advocate.
